The Eichholz Law Firm funded the purchase of this year’s plants for the second annual Harambee Farm project.
Saturday morning, Savannah’s Harambee House’s Executive Director, Dr. Mildred McClain, along with volunteers from the area, planted a community garden with the donated plants behind the now vacated St. Pius Family Resource Center.
The garden is located on the corner of East Anderson Street and Atlantic Avenue.
The Harambee Farm project, in conjunction with Harambee House, Inc., strives to not only feed residents but also to offer inter-generational training while addressing issues of unemployment and under-employment within the community.
In the past, The Eichholz Law Firm has donated computers and copy machines to the Harambee House.
