Casino operator Las Vegas Sands Corp. says it plans to pay a quarterly dividend of $2.50 for each share of its preferred stock. The Las Vegas-based casino company announced the payment on Friday, one day after reporting it lost $222.2 million in the second quarter of this year, compared with a loss of $8.8 million during the same time last year. Sands says it will pay the dividend on Aug. 17 to stockholders of record at the close of business on July 31.
