Nevada Mother Arrested for Drunk Driving and Child Endangerment, Had Drug-filled Needles in Vehicle

A Reno mother has been arrested for drunk driving and child endangerment after police stopped her for erratic driving in downtown Reno.

The incident happened early Wednesday, around 11:30 a.m. when police noticed a driver unsafely exit a freeway ramp. The driver then crossed over a center line and made an improper lane change where they cut off another driver.

Police pulled the driver over in a parking lot where she stopped in a space obviously reserved for handicapped individuals. They noticed the driver, Tina Kinsey, showed signs of impairment other than her erratic driving.

Kinsey was asked to submit to field sobriety tests, which she failed. She however insisted that her driving was caused by an argument with her teenage son.

Before police placed her under arrest they found hypodermic needles containing methamphetamine in her vehicle. They also found empty baggies with drug residue in them and prescription drugs contained in unmarked bottles.

The teenage boy was released to the custody of family. Kinsey was charged with DUI-drugs and child endangerment.

Driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol is a serious offense. The only way to negate the effects of this charge is to have a solid DUI defense and no one is more capable of this than a Nevada DUI attorney

After a DUI arrest, the accused will face stiff penalties along with costly fines. A person may have their license suspended. These severest of these penalties can be avoided as longs as the offender hires a DUI lawyer to take their case.

Nevada DUI lawyer has a number of ways to challenge an indictment which can entail contesting the results of field sobriety tests and breathalyzers; they can also engineer a plea bargain with prosecutors. These methods can keep a DUI from appearing on your permanent record.
