Montana Motorcyclist Killed After Being Struck By Minivan

A Belgrade man, driving a motorcycle, was killed Monday morning after he was struck by an oncoming minivan.

At 10:30 a.m. Gallatin County police responded to a call about two-vehicle accident. According to their investigation, the deceased man identified as Caleb Jones, was driving eastbound on Frontage Road when a minivan pulled out and hit him.

The minivan driver told police she could not see Jones because a vehicle in the turn lane was obstructing her view. She was charged with misdemeanor careless driving.

When police arrived, Jones was coherent and talking. He was taken to a local hospital and then transferred to St. Vincent’s Hospital in Billings. He finally succumbed to his injuries at 4 a.m.
