Eight People Arrested in New Jersey for Immigration Fraud

Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in New Jersey arrested eight people for their involvement in student visa fraud scheme.

The ringleader of the immigration fraud scheme is Dhirenkumar Parikh, who ran his business out of Iselin, New Jersey. Parikh’s business, Vision Career Consultants USA Inc., helped foreign-born people obtain student visas so that they could come and study in the U.S.

According to the allegations, Parikh and his associates would provide students, for a fee, the documents they needed for a visa without verifying the applicants information. VCC is also accused of helping individuals enter the country who have had prior immigration violations.

Parikh ran their immigration fraud scheme through American Health and Technology Institute which is certified to provide visas through the Student Exchange and Visitor Program.

These students may have been unaware that their visas were obtained fraudulently. This emphasizes the importance of getting the necessary legal documents with the aid if a New Jersey immigration attorney.

Parikh and his co-conspirators have been charged with two counts of immigration fraud. The first charge is for conspiracy to knowingly obtain visas using false information and for concealing and harboring illegal immigrants.

The visa process makes it easier for people from other countries to legally enter the states. If a person wishes to enter the country legally, an immigration lawyer can help them get a student visa, a HB-1 visa or a green card.

Allowing a New Jersey immigration lawyer to help you immigration can prevent a person from getting involved in a scam that would jeopardize their future chances of becoming a naturalized citizen.
