Ever since a trip to the salon last week Charlize Theron has not been seen out without a hat, sparking rumors she shaved her head. Theron’s rep confirmed the rumors to People magazine on Monday. The rep says Theron is preparing to begin filming Mad Max: Fury Road with Tom Hardy. Her character Furiosa sports a shaved head.
Speaking to reporters last month about her character’s hairstyle, Theron said she was “very excited about it.” “It’s been three years: It’s time to skin this cat already!” she said.
Filming on Mad Max: Fury Road will begin next month in Africa. The film will also star Nicholas Hoult.
Theron currently stars in Snow White and the Huntsman with Kristen Stewart and in Prometheus with Noomi Rapace.
