An elderly woman was injured Saturday when a truck turned in front of her causing a collision.
Oklahoma Highway Patrols stated that the accident occurred Saturday around 5 in the evening. According to their investigation, Jean Bredda, 71, was traveling southbound on Oklahoma 150, when a truck driven by Michael Grimmett, 53, turned in front of her. Bredda’s car collided with the truck which rolled over once.
Bredda was not wearing her seat-belt at the time and suffered from a leg and internal injuries. Grimmett, who was wearing a safety belt, was not injured.
It can be difficult for police and accident attorneys to unravel the details of a traffic collision and determine who was at fault. But once they do, the negligent driver faces charges for traffic violations and can be subjected to a lawsuit.
Oftentimes, traffic accidents lead to serious injuries or even death. The personal injury victims have a long road to recovery and will lose income as a result of their accident. When the injured or deceased’s family believe a driver was in the wrong, they can hire an Oklahoma accident attorney to build a civil case that can result in a generous settlement.
Accident lawyers in Oklahoma know how to build a strong case by gathering evidence and speaking to witnesses. Their attention to a case allows them to win large settlements on behalf of those who are suffering because of another driver’s error.
