David Arquette is ready to make his split from Courteney Cox official. People magazine reports the actor filed for divorce Friday, June 8 in Los Angeles Superior Court. Arquette cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. He is seeking joint custody of their 8-year-old daughter Coco.
Arquette, 40, and Cox, 47, announced their split in October 2010. "The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go through this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together,” the pair said in a statement at the time.
Nearly a year after his split from Cox, Arquette began dating Entertainment Tonight reporter Christina McLarty. He announced their split three months ago.
Neither Arquette nor Cox has commented on the divorce filing.
