Lindsay Lohan is once again in legal hot water and facing another lawsuit following and accident on The Pacific Coast Highway last Friday.
The 18-wheeler driver, only known as James, who was rear-ended by Lohan in her rented Porsche retained an accident attorney and is now suing the actress, according to TMZ.
According to her initial statement to police, Lohan claims the truck driver cut her car off, causing the accident. She also told police that her assistant was driving the car and not her.
The truck driver and other eyewitnesses told police that both women emerged from the car on the passenger’s side following the accident. James also said that he was pulled aside and offered money to dismiss the collision, but he had already called 911 once it appeared that Lohan and her assistant were trying to flee the scene.
If Lohan has been found guilty of lying to police, she faces a violation probation which will land her in jail. Law enforcement also told TMZ that they found an open container of alcohol in Lohan’s vehicle.
Lohan has a history or reckless driving and thus far she has not seriously injured anyone. Many people incur severe personal injuries at the hands of reckless drivers. A skilled traffic accident attorney can hold these careless drivers accountable for their actions by filing a lawsuit.
Those who are involved in a traffic collision face significant medical bills while they also lose wages during their recovery. A traffic accident attorney will work hard building a strong case to make certain none of the expenses associated with a traffic collision will come out of their own pockets.
