Pups N Pinot is an annual fundraiser for A Leg Up Rescue, a nonprofit organization dedicated to placing pets in loving, permanent homes. Last year's Pups N Pinot fundraiser raised over $25,000 for A Leg Up Rescue, and they hope to raise even more this year with a projected attendance of 750 guests.
Founded by Jennifer Bird, A Leg Up Rescue rescues companion animals from abuse, neglect, and eventual euthanasia in animal shelters. They do not keep rescued animals in kennels or a shelter; rather they immediately place each animal in foster homes where they have a chance to heal, become socialized and are trained in preparation for a new life. All health concerns and medical issues are addressed prior to adoption, and most importantly, each animal learns how to trust humans again. A Leg Up Rescue has high standards for adoption, and potential guardians are carefully screened to ensure that each animal is accepted into a loving home.
Printable Memories and owner, Brian Cash, is proud to be a sponsor of Pups N Pinot. He has always been an avid animal lover and strong supporter of animal rights organizations. "It breaks my heart to learn how many dogs and cats are abused, neglected, and euthanized in animal shelters each year. Having adopted several rescued animals myself, I know first-hand how a loving home can make a huge difference in the life of an animal. A Leg Up Rescue is a fabulous organization and I'm proud to support such an important cause and to be a part of this event."
Pups N Pinot will take place on June 24th, 2012, from 2pm-6pm at the Newland House, 19822 Beach Blvd. in Huntington Beach, CA, and will offer great food and wine, a silent and live auction, live entertainment, Best of Show contest, and more.
