Retrofoam of Arizona wants customers seeking the best insulation in Phoenix to consider the many uses of the injected foam insulation that offers energy efficiency by keeping homes and offices cool in the summer.
Since adding spray foam insulation retrofits for attics to renovation projects at the beginning of the year, Retrofoam co-owner Paul Kariniemi said there is a lot of interest from customers with attic renovation projects.
"We recently foamed an attic and they converted it to a storage room," Kariniemi said, adding that the customer didn't have to worry about anything being damaged during the hot summers, despite how much the attic is filled.
The attic insulation is a popular request for clients as the spray foam product stabilizes the attic temperature and doesn't go beyond 10 degrees above or below the temperature in the home. This allows the area to be used for storage, an extra bedroom, or office and not have an overwhelming temperature exceeding the other areas.
"Attic foam retrofits decreases attic temperatures to the point where they slightly vary from the temperature in the house," says Kariniemi, adding that duct re-insulation is also in demand.
The spray foam application has the capacity to close air leaks by stopping drafts through walls and is able to keep warm air in and cool air out when desired. Retrofoam also can be used for sound proofing and as a bug repellent because the spray foam wall insulation is used to seal the crevices.
Retrofoam is an inorganic plastic used to penetrate the wall cavities so pests do not eat the substance that poses as a physical barrier to bugs, and keeps them from entering the premises, Kariniemi says.
In-home or office estimates are offered for free, and can take from 30 to 90 minutes. An accurate determination of the cost for the non-invasive, simple installation process is done in most types of buildings in one or two days. Foaming is usually completed on the first day, repairs concluded on the second day, with a 24-hour process to cure.
Estimates depend on the volume of foam injected, total wall square footage, wall height, and the overall repair work necessary when sealing the home or office walls with the non-toxic product, Kariniemi says.
