Lucky Kat TV and “Retro Bill” Collaborate to take Safety and Anti-Bullying Message to Kids

Retro Bill - the alter ego of writer, producer and director Bill Russ - delivers a powerful message to children across the nation - dreams do come true.

Lucky Kat TV.com announces a partnership with D.A.R.E.’s (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Official Safety Buddy, “Retro Bill.” The popular celebrity spokesperson, awards show host, and one-man safety, self-esteem and anti-bullying crusader will appear on the Lucky Kat TV website via video content.

Retro Bill - the alter ego of writer, producer and director Bill Russ - delivers a powerful message to children across the nation - dreams do come true. Taking his high-energy anthem on the road some 300 days each year across the U.S. and Canada, Retro Bill speaks to millions of children and parents about physical and online safety, bullying, and self-esteem.

“When I connected with Lucky Kat TV and learned about their message to kids - ‘Believe in your Dreams and Anything is Possible’ - it was creative kismet,” said Retro Bill. “Everything Lucky Kat TV stands for and promotes through their website is right in line with my message,” said Retro Bill. “I’m thrilled to share in their efforts to create a safe and fun environment for kids online!”

“We are very excited to work with Retro Bill in tandem with our D.A.R.E. partnership. It's rare to find someone as dedicated and passionate about empowering children to be strong, kind, and productive people. It's our goal at Lucky Kat TV to teach kids those same self-esteem building values as they navigate Lucky Kat's 4 Steps to Success. Together, Retro Bill and Lucky Kat are excited to motivate kids around the world,” said Tammy Schroeder, President at Lucky Kat TV.

Dressing in his signature style - a nod to the era of old-fashioned values he cherishes - Retro Bill sports an exaggerated pompadour haircut. His wild outfits and zany props add energy, fun, and visual metaphors to his messages. One of his inspirations is the iconic Mr. Rogers. “He was filled with goodness and kindness; I want to be a contemporary version of him!” says Retro Bill.
