NBA Scores from Tuesday Night Nov. 21

Jermaine O’Neal, Chris Paul, Dirk Nowitzki, Kobe Bryant and Carmelo Anthony lead their teams to victories in NBA games from Tuesday night.

Tayshaun Prince scored 25 points while Rasheed Wallace added 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons (6-5) knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers (4-6) 97-87. Allen Iverson did not play for the 76ers after undergoing surgery to remove an abscessed wisdom tooth. Willie Green replaced Iverson in the starting lineup and led Philadelphia with 24 points. Samuel Dalembert grabbed 15 rebounds in the loss.

The Cleveland Cavaliers (8-3) were outscored 58-43 in the second half but still beat the Memphis Grizzlies (2-9) 97-94. Cleveland was led by Drew Gooden who finished with 22 points and 15 rebounds. LeBron had a poor night shooting, ending up with 15 points but had 9 assists in the Cavs win. Chucky Atkins led all Memphis scorers with 17 points.

Al Harrington grabbed 18 rebounds, 7 off the offensive glass and Jermaine O’Neal had 26 points and 13 rebounds as the Indiana Pacers (6-5) had a strong fourth quarter to beat the Milwaukee Bucks (3-8) 93-88. Mo Williams finished with 22 points and 9 assists and Michael Redd ended the game with 21 points for the Bucks.

Peja Stojakovic scored 23 points and Chris Paul added 11 points and 10 assists as the NO/Oklahoma City Hornets (8-3) knocked off the Miami Heat (4-6) 101-86. Tyson Chandler finished the game with 18 rebounds for the Hornets. Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 29 points while Alonzo Mourning pulled down 12 rebounds in the loss.

Dirk Nowitzki had 30 points and 14 rebounds and the Dallas Mavericks (7-4) used a strong second half to beat the Washington Wizards (4-6) 107-80. It was the seventh straight win for the Mavericks who started the year 0-4. Desagana Diop grabbed 13 rebounds off the bench for the Mavs. Gilbert Arenas led the Wizards with 29 points. The Mavericks outscored the Wizards 56-29 in the second half.

Carmelo Anthony had 29 points and J.R. Smith had a career high 36 points as the Denver Nuggets (5-4) beat the struggling Chicago Bulls (3-8) 113-109. Marcus Camby added 13 points and 15 rebounds for the surging Nuggets. Kirk Hinrich led all Bulls scorers with 28 points while Ben Wallace added 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Kobe Bryant had 40 points and Kwame Brown added 10 points and 14 rebounds as the Los Angeles Lakers survived a poor fourth quarter to beat the LA Clippers 105-101. It took the Lakers more than 6 minutes before they could get on the board in the fourth quarter. Sam Cassell had 18 points, Elton Brand added 18 points and Corey Maggette finished with 20 points for the Clippers. The Lakers took 46 foul shots on the night while the Clippers only had 21 attempts.
