Larry Johnson rushed for 157 yards and a touchdown while the Kansas City Chiefs (7-4), as a team, rushed for 225 yards and grinded out a 19-10 Thanksgiving Day victory over the Denver Broncos (7-4).
While Johnson was getting it done with his feet, Lawrence Tynes was getting it done with his foot. The Chiefs kicker totaled four field goals on the day. His 21-yard kick with less than three minutes remaining in the fourth gave the Chiefs their nine point cushion and shut the door on the Broncos.
The Chiefs defense held the Broncos running game to 38 yards and 242 yards of total offense.
Jake Plummer struggled on the day, passing for 207 yards and a touchdown but was picked off once and could only convert 4-11 third down plays.
