Jack Osbourne Reveals Multiple Sclerosis Diagnosis

In a new interview with People magazine, Jack Osbourne reveals he was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, an incurable autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system. Symptoms like numbness and loss of muscle control can range from being mild to severely disabling.

Osbourne, the younger brother of TV personality Kelly Osbourne, tells People he was diagnosed two weeks after the April 24 birth of daughter Pearl. Pearl is the 26-year-old’s first child with fiancé Lisa Stelly.

"I was just angry and frustrated and kept thinking, 'Why now?' I've got a family and that's what's supposed to be the most important thing,” he said.

In another interview with Hello! Magazine, Osbourne says he decided to make peace with his diagnosis. "I realized: Being angry and upset is not going to do anything at this point, if anything it's only going to make it worse,” he says, adding that Stelly has been “super supportive.”

Osbourne’s famous mom, America’s Got Talent judge Sharon Osbourne, tells Hello! she initially feared his condition was her fault. “I keep thinking, ‘What did I do wrong? What did I eat or drink when I was pregnant?' I feel like it’s somehow my fault,” she adds.

"Thank you all so much for the kind and inspirational words," Jack Tweeted Sunday. "It means a lot. #adaptandovercome."
