The NFL preseason kicked off on Sunday in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio and while all eyes were on Terrell Owens and his first game in a Buffalo Bills jersey it was Kerry Collins and the Tennessee Titans who stole the show en route to a 21-18 victory.
Collins led a pair of scoring drives in eth opening quarter while completing seven of ten passes for 82 yards. While Collins arm looked sharp it was a fake punt that gave the Titans their first score as reserve punter A.J. Trapasso went 40 yards for the TD and a 7-0 lead. That lead was extended to 14-0 later in the frame when LenDale White punched in a touchdown on a 3-yard run.
Buffalo put their first points on the board in the second quarter when Rian Lindell kicked a 20-yard field goal but Vince Young extended the Titans cushion when he found Paul Williams on a 5-yard touchdown pass and that 21-3 lead held until halftime.
As for Owens, the newly acquired receiver played just one series on Sunday and had a pair of receptions for 27 yards.
