NBA Scores from Friday Nov. 24

Carmelo Anthony, Allen Iverson, Dwight Howard, Jermaine O’Neal and Dirk Nowitzki lead their teams to victories in NBA Friday night games.

Joe Johnson scored 27 points and Joe Smith added 11 points and 11 rebounds as the Atlanta Hawks (5-5) ended a four game skid and handed the Toronto Raptors (3-9) their seventh road loss 97-93. T.J Ford led the Raptors with 25 points.
 
The New York Knicks (5-9) held Boston (4-8) to 30 second half points as they routed the Celtics 101-77. Steve Francis led the Knicks with 22 points, 15 of which came from the free throw line, and Eddy Curry added 21 points and 10 rebounds in the win. The Celtics could only manage 38 percent shooting from the floor.
 
Grant Hill scored 24 points and Dwight Howard finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds as the Orlando Magic (9-4) went down to South Florida and beat the Miami Heat (4-8) 107-104. Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 33 points and 15 assists while Dorell Wright had a strong game with 12 points and 13 rebounds in the loss.
 
Allen Iverson returned to the Philadelphia (5-7) starting lineup and torched the Chicago Bulls (3-9) for 46 points as the 76ers rolled to a 123-108 win. Iverson added 10 assists and Willie Green added 20 points in the home victory. Luol Deng had 28 points for the Bulls and Ben Wallace finished without a rebound in 20 minutes of action.
 
Ricky Davis had 23 points and Kevin Garnett added 18 points and 16 rebounds as the Minnesota Timberwolves (5-6) handed the NO/Oklahoma Hornets (8-5) their first home loss 86-79. Chris Paul led the Hornets with 18 points on the night but his team could only manage 33 percent shooting from the field.
 
The Detroit Pistons (8-5) won their fifth game in a row after defeating the Charlotte Bobcats (3-9) 104-95. Richard Hamilton finished with 26 points and Tayshaun Prince added 21 points to pace the Pistons. Emeka Okafor finished with 23 points and 12 rebounds in the Charlotte loss.
 
Jermaine O'Neal sparked the Indiana (7-6) offense with 29 points as the Pacers knocked of the Cleveland Cavaliers (8-5) 97-87. Al Harrington added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Pacers. LeBron James led the Cavaliers with 30 points and 7 rebounds while Drew Gooden ended the night with 17 points and 12 rebounds.
 
The Dallas Mavericks (8-4) jumped to a 14 point lead after the first quarter and then held on to beat the San Antonio Spurs (10-3) 95-92. Dirk Nowitzki finished with 31 points and 10 rebounds as Dallas won their eighth straight game. Jason Terry had 14 points and 10 assists for the Mavs. The loss dropped the Spurs to 4-3 at home this year. Tim Duncan led San Antonio with 29 points.
 
Stromile Swift had 11 points and 10 rebounds while Hakim Warrick added 18 points and 7 rebounds and to lead the Memphis Grizzlies (3-9) past the Washington Wizards (4-8) 95-80. Caron Butler led the Wizards with 22 points 13 rebounds and 6 assists. The Grizzlies held Gilbert Arenas to just 3 points and 1 of 12 shooting on the night.
 
The Denver Nuggets (7-4) and Golden State Warriors (7-6) both shot over 55 percent from the field but in the end it was Denver winning 140-129. J.R. Smith led the Nuggets with 31 points and Carmelo Anthony added another 30 as Denver’s total points marked a league high for the season. Andris Biedrins had 31 points and 10 rebounds in the Golden State loss.
 
The Utah Jazz (12-1) outscored the LA Lakers by 12 in the fourth quarter to stay perfect at home 114-108. Carlos Boozer led the Jazz with 31 points and 16 rebounds and Mehmet Okur had 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in the Jazz win. Kobe Bryant led the Lakers with 27 points.
 
Phoenix (6-6) got 26 points and 13 assists from Steve Nash while Amare Stoudemire had 21 points and 10 rebounds as the Suns survived a furious rally from the New Jersey Nets (5-7) and won at home 99-93. The Suns led by 18 points after the first quarter and led by 19 points going into the fourth before the Nets rallied, but fell short. Marcus Williams led the Nets with 27 points.
 
The Sacramento Kings (6-5) went on the road and beat the Seattle Supersonics (6-8) 109-100. The Kings were led by Kevin Martin with 35 points and Kenny Thomas added 13 points and 14 rebounds. The Sonics were led by Rashard Lewis’ 26 points and Chris Wilcox’s 15 points and 13 rebounds.
