Three People Killed in South Carolina Head-on Collision

Three young people were killed Sunday night in head-on collision on North Center Road.

The accident occurred just minute after 8 p.m. According to reports, a Chevy traveling southbound crossed over the center line and crashed into a northbound Toyota carrying three passengers.

The driver of the Toyota, Michael Sylvester, 29, and a back seat passenger, G.C. Reeves, 23, were both pronounced dead on the scene. Neither of the two men was wearing their seat belts. Another passenger in the Toyota, a female, was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Chevy, Sherman Covington Jr., 23, was also pronounced dead on the scene.

Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.
