The match-up between # 1 Florida and #12 Kansas lived up to its billing. The Kansas Jayhawks were able to knock off the Florida Gators 82-80 in overtime. Juliane Wright had 21 points and 10 rebounds and Darrell Arthur added 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead Kansas to the upset win at the Las Vegas Invitational. Taurean Green led the Gators with 25 points.
Wichita State used a second half surge to surprise #6 LSU 57-53. Ryan Martin led the Shockers with 12 points while Kyle Wilson finished with 10 points and 7 rebounds and PJ Couisnard added 11 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the win. Glen Davis led LSU with 17 points and 13 rebounds.
Kammron Taylor scored 16 points and Alando Tucker had 15 points as the #7 Wisconsin Badgers beat the Auburn Tigers 77-63 to claim third place in the South Padre Island Invitational. Wisconsin bounced back from their Friday loss to Missouri and led Auburn by as many as 19 in the second half. DeWayne Reed led the Tigers with 17 points in the loss.
Josh McRoberts scored 14 points and 8 rebounds while Jon Scheyer finished with 14 points of his own as #8 Duke pounded Davidson 75-47. The Blue Devils led by as many as 30 points in the blowout. Jason Richards led Davidson with 17 points.
Jermareo Davidson had 16 points and 11 rebounds while Richard Hendrix finished with 15 points and 12 rebounds as the #9 Alabama Crimson Tide crushed Texas Southern 74-44. Jacques Jones scored 10 points and 10 rebounds in the Tigers loss.
Josh Carter scored 26 points, 24 of those came from three pointers and Acie Law IV scored 22 points and dished out 9 assists as the #10 Texas A&M Aggies hammered the Idaho State Bengals 74-44.
The #14 Syracuse Orange moved to 6-0 on the season after overcoming a first half deficit and defeating Canisius 81-71. The Orange were led by Demetris Nichols who scored 20 points and 7 rebounds and Eric Devendorf who added 17 points in the win. Chuck Harris led Canisius with 24 points and 7 rebounds.
Nick Fazekas had 28 points and 15 rebounds to lead #20 Nevada past Santa Clara 78-70. Ramon Sessions added 16 points in the Wolf Pack win. Sean Denison had 23 points and John Bryant had 10 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.
