As someone who spent his working life in Kilmarnock, and was born in the town, I am getting fed up with the sanctimonious attitude of the top brass at Diageo.

Any criticism of the company's actions is met with platitudes such as those offered by Ken Robertson: "It's true that we have a long-standing association with Kilmarnock an association that is understood by everyone in Diageo" (Letters, August 7).
