Big Brother 11: Chima Benson Raped by Serial Killer Dale Scheanette

On Sunday’s episode of Big Brother 11, Chima Benson revealed that she was raped and brutally beaten by a serial killer who was later caught and killed by the death penalty. Details on Chima’s case have emerged following the episode.

Dale Devon Scheanette was known as the ‘Bathtub Rapist’ because after raping and strangling his victims, he put their bodies in bathtubs half full of water. His first known victim was Christine Vu, who was killed on September 17, 1996. Scheanette murdered Wendie Prescott next on December 24th of that same year.

Between the two cases, only one finger print was found but couldn’t be matched to a suspect. Semen taken from both of the victims matched.

Three years later, Scheanette entered Chima’s dorm room and brutally beat her before raping her. Chima fought back and survived. Semen taken from her case matched the Bathtub Rapist. She required two surgeries on injuries to her face.

New fingerprint technology helped identify Scheanette as the killer and rapist. He was arrested and died by lethal injection on February 10, 2009 in a Texas prison. Scheanette was suspected of five other rapes.
