Arizona Man With .328 BAC Charged With Extreme DUI, Lucky to Be Alive

A Topock man was so intoxicated when police arrested him Monday morning he could have died or fell into a coma, instead he is facing four counts of DUI.

Arizona police stopped Scott Jarc, 52, for speeding after he flew by them on Route 1 in Mojave County. While approaching the car officers noted they could smell alcohol all over the vehicle.

Although extremely intoxicated, Jarc had enough sense to admit to officers that he had been drinking earlier that night.

After failing several field sobriety tests, Jarc was placed under arrest. His blood alcohol content was registered at .328. With such a large amount of alcohol in his system, Jarc is lucky that he isn’t in a coma or dead.

Jarc now faces four counts of DUI, one for having a BAC over .08, and three counts of extreme DUI.

A blood alcohol level of .328 is in the same par as surgical anesthesia, according to BARD.com.

Jarc may have been so intoxicated he didn’t realize what he was doing. Most people charged with DUI know it is wrong, but don’t realize they are too intoxicated to drive. An offender has only one option to beat the charges and that entails hiring a highly-skilled DUI attorney.

After a person has been arrested and charged, the next thing they should do is look for the most qualified DUI lawyer in their area to begin working on their case immediately.

Don’t let an intoxicated driving charge have a negative impact on your life. Hire a DUI attorney to develop a drunk driving defense or negotiate a plea.
