A Texas woman, Stephanie Dillard, has been arrested after hitting a Houston city bus then fleeing the scene on foot, leaving her three children behind in the damaged car.
When police arrived at the accident scene, they found three children aged 5, 12, and 16, still inside the crashed car with minor injuries and considerable shaken up. The youngest suffered a cut over one eye.
But the driver was nowhere to be found, because Dillard left the scene, leaving her children behind, and went to get ice cream at a nearby CVS pharmacy. She had also removed all of her clothing. It should be noted that it was very hot Monday when the accident occurred.
Dillard was arrested by police, but not before she put up a fight. She has been charged with child endangerment, but no word on what traffic violations she faces.
Apparently, no one on the bus was injured.
Police are not sure why Dillard acted in such a strange manner.
