Sun Microsystems  reports that the company was chosen by Taiwan telecom giant Chunghwa Telecom to power its Multimedia-on-Demand (MOD) back-end server platforms with its its Sun Fire[TM] servers and the Solaris[TM] 10 Operating System (OS) -- the most advanced OS on the planet. This will further provides improved scalability and reliability for the MOD platform, allowing users to choose from a number of interactive services.
