Alex Trebek is expected to make a full recovery following a mild heart attack over the weekend. He will be well enough to begin filming the 29th season of Jeopardy! next month, according to Sony Pictures Television.
Trebek, who suffered a minor heart attack five years ago, was hospitalized at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Saturday. "Trebek is in good spirits and is currently under observation and undergoing further testing," Sony Pictures Television said in a statement.
No other details on Trebek’s condition have been released. The 71-year-old began hosting Jeopardy! in 1984. He recently signed on for two more years as host.
