Dwyane Wade, Dirk Nowitzki, Dwight Howard and Jason Richardson lead their teams to victories in NBA action from Monday night.
Dwyane Wade scored 30 points, 13 assists, and 7 rebounds as the Miami Heat (6-8) knocked off the Philadelphia 76ers (5-9) 103-91. Udonis Haslem had a strong game for the Heat with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Allen Iverson led the 76ers with 45 points on 17-37 shooting. The 76ers attempted 34 more shots than the Heat in the game.
The Dallas Mavericks (10-4) had to rely on a balanced attack as they had six players score in double figures to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves (6-7) 93-87. Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard each had 15 points while Erick Dampier had 12 points and 11 rebounds as the Mavericks won their tenth straight game. Kevin Garnett led the Wolves with 19 points and 12 rebounds.
Dwight Howard had 21 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Orlando Magic (11-4) past the Utah Jazz (12-3) 88-75. The win marked the Magic’s eighth in nine games while it was the second straight loss for the Jazz. Jameer Nelson helped the Magic with 15 points and 7 rebounds in the win. Carlos Boozer had 21 points and 9 rebounds in the Jazz loss.
The Golden State Warriors (9-6) outplayed the San Antonio Spurs (11-4) in the second half and came away with a 111-102 victory. Jason Richardson had 26 points and 5 assists while Andris Biedrins scored 18 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for the Warriors. Tony Parker led the Spurs with 28 points and 7 assists and Tim Duncan finished with 22 points and 16 rebounds.
