Beasts of the Southern Wild, starring Quvenzhané Wallis, Dwight Henry, Lowell Landes and Levy Easterly, opens in theaters Friday, June 29. The drama follows a six-year-old girl as she sets out to find her mother after her father falls ill and prehistoric creatures are unleashed in a climate change.
The film has a runtime of 1 hour 33 minutes and is rated PG 13 for some disturbing images, brief sexuality, language, child imperilment and thematic material.
