Frank Agnello, the 16-year-old grandson of the “Teflon Don” John Gotti, was arrested earlier this month after Suffolk County police officers found marijuana, OxyContin, and morphine pills in the glove box of the rented car he was driving.
The incident took place on November 10 when Agnello was pulled over after failing to observe a stop sign. After the drugs were found Agnello and his two passengers were charged with criminal possession.
According to Adam Mandelbaum, Agnello’s attorney, his client will plead not guilty at his January 24 hearing. Mandelbaum also made it clear that no drugs had been found on Agnello.
He could face up to a year in prison if he is convicted.
