New Jersey Man Gets Arrested for 6th DUI in Three Months

Just four days after being released on bail, a Vineland man was arrested for DUI, making it his 6th offense since April.

Anderson Sotomayor, 45, was arrested Thursday after was seen jumping a curb and throwing a beer bottle out of his car. Police arrested him only to discover he had a warrant, posted early Thursday, for failing to appear in court earlier that day.

Sotomayor was taken to a local police station where he refused to take a breathalyzer.

His first arrest was on April 9th. His next arrests followed on April 11th, April 25th, May 12th and May 16th. He was free to drive drunk because his arrests came in such quick succession that he has yet to appear in court. But finally after this latest arrest he is being held in jail with no bail.

Although Sotomayor has made numerous mistakes, perhaps he made the wise decision of hiring a DUI attorney to help with his defense.

In one of his prior arrests, Sotomayor is accused of speeding around a school bus and crashing into a stop sign.
