Greg Page, better known as the “Yellow Wiggle” may be departing from the Australian children’s group The Wiggles due to a serious illness. Page has been suffering fainting spells and lethargy as of late. The “Yellow Wiggle” underwent a double hernia operation in December that caused him to miss several appearances with the internationally known children’s group.
In July Page had to step aside from a U.S. tour after experiencing an increase in the fainting spells. At the time Page told Australia’s The Daily Telegraph “I have had numerous bouts of this over the past eight months but they are getting more frequent, and more concerning.”
The Wiggles have scheduled a press conference for Thursday, where the announcement is expected.
Page is a founding member of Australia’s The Wiggles which started in 1991. Since that time the quartet of Wiggles has embedded themselves into the children’s entertainment market. They were Australia’s leading money earners amongst entertainers last year with $39 million surpassing AC/DC and Nicole Kidman.
