Punk Singer Casey Chaos Arrested for DUI after Smashing Into 15 Cars

The leader singer of punk band Amen, once voted “The Best Band in the World’ by Metal Hammer readers, was arrested in Los Angeles this morning after he crashing into numerous parked cars, according to TMZ.

Casey Chaos, whose real name is Karim Chmielinski, was arrested around 1:00 a.m. at his home in Studio City. Police say that Casey smashed his SUV into at least 15 vehicles parked in a residential neighborhood before abandoning his vehicle a fleeing the scene.

When police caught up with him nearby at home they arrested him for suspicion of DUI. Sources told TMZ his blood alcohol level was just above the .08 legal limit.

Video footage of the scene showed extensive damage to the vehicles.

A drunk driving arrest is pretty serious. If convicted Casey could be facing some jail time, although a skilled DUI attorney will do everything they can to prevent this.

Aside from possibly landing a person in jail, a DUI conviction will be on a person’s permanent record, resulting in a suspended license and causing their insurance rates to skyrocket.

Those facing this charge often decide to plead guilty without understanding the consequences or hiring a DUI lawyer to represent them. This is a mistake.

You may not think it is worth the cost of paying for a DUI attorney to challenge this charge. But the upfront cost of hiring a lawyer will be a good investment in your future.
