Jennifer Hudson Gives Birth to Baby Boy on Wednesday

Jennifer Hudson, the Oscar-winning actress and singer, gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, on Wednesday.

The birth caps a year of extreme ups and downs for Hudson. She won her first Grammy Award four months after the murders of her mother, brother and nephew in her hometown of Chicago.

Hudson has been engaged to actor David Otunga, who was “Punk” on VH1 reality show I Love New York 2, for almost a year. Their new child is named David Daniel Otunga, Jr.
