Schumacher cancels comeback

On Tuesday August 11, 2009 Michael Schumacher announced that he will cancel is comeback.  He has decided to cancel because of injuries from a motorcycling crash earlier this year.  His plan was to return this month, but with lingering injuries it will be extremely difficult.  The injuries affected his head and neck.

 

 

Michael Schumacher officially retired at the end of the 2006 season, but has raced occasionally in motorcycling series.  “I really tried everything to make that temporary comeback possible.  However, much to my regret it didn’t work out” says Schumacher.
