Kyle Glover, the 11-year-old stepson of R&B star Usher, was declared brain dead at an Atlanta hospital following an accident on Lake Lanier Saturday afternoon. TMZ reports Kyle was hit by a jet ski while he was riding an inner tube. He was airlifted to Egelston Hospital where he was put on life support. No other details on Kyle’s condition were available.
Usher and ex-wife Tameka Foster are both at Egelston by Kyle's side. A rep for Usher has not commented. Foster posted a message about the accident on her Facebook page. "Kyle, You are strong.. You'll be saved I knot it. I love you my baby. I need all Prayers for my son! thank you everybody!" she wrote.
The accident is under investigation by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources. It has already been determined that alcohol was not a factor in the accident. A rep for the department says the driver of the jet ski has been interviewed and authorities will remain in touch with him throughout the investigation.
Kyle is one of Foster’s two sons with ex-husband Ryan Glover. Foster’s oldest son Darren is from a previous relationship. She also has two sons with Usher – Usher V, 4, and Naviyd, 3. Usher filed for divorce from Foster in June 2009 after more than 2 years of marriage. Their divorce was finalized later that year.
