Bullfrog Spas Sponsors Cancer-Fighting Team in Relay for Life

Bullfrog Spas shows support for cancer research by fielding team for Relay for Life, a charity to benefit the American Cancer Society

SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH –   Bullfrog International, a hot tub maker in the Salt Lake City  area, is proud to be fielding a team to participate in the Relay for Life, a benefit for the American Cancer Society. The event will be held at 6 PM  July 13 and continue through the night to July 14 and will be located at River Front Park in South Jordan, Utah.

Relay for Life is a charity event where individuals and corporations commit to circling a track non-stop throughout the duration of the event. Team members camp out around the track and take turns walking laps throughout the night. The family-friendly atmosphere and a number of attractions an off-track events keep all the participants occupied and add to the enjoyment of the night.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Relay for Life began in 1985 when Dr. Gordy Klatt, a Tacoma WA colorectal surgeon, decided to run for 24 hours to raise awareness and funds for his local American Cancer Society. Today, Relay for Life events are held across the nation in support of cancer research.

Bullfrog’s Director of Manufacturing, Sean McKinney, and Executive Administrative Assistant, Patti Mahon, are heading up the fundraising efforts and coordination of the event for the hot tub company. Mr. McKinney, who has participated in Relay for Life Events in the past, commented on Bullfrog’s efforts: “You know we’ve tried to just make this a lot of fun for everyone here at Bullfrog. We’ve been raising money to fight cancer in a bunch of fun ways – contests, games, good-natured fines for speaking out of turn at meetings, and some rather interesting contests to get the executives and managers to do crazy stuff.”

Bullfrog’s Relay for Life Team is made up of employees and their families who have committed their time and efforts to raise a significant amount of money so far. Bullfrog is still short of their goal and is looking to raise nearly $2,000 dollars more before the event.
