PPG Industries, one of the leading maker of paints, coatings and other specialty products announced Thursday that one company’s subsidiaries recently signed a contract will be redesigning laminated glass windshield for Boeing’s next-generation 373 airplanes.

Pittsburgh-based PPG that its aerospace transparencies business has recently been awarded the contract by Spirit AeroSystems, a prime Boeing supplier was based in Wichita, Kan. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclose.
