Qualcomm Inc., a telecom giant which designs, manufactures and markets digital wireless telecommunications products and services based on its code division multiple access (CDMA) technology, announced last Tuesday that the federal court has dismissed a consumer class action suit filed against the company.

The complaint by plaintiff Christopher Lorenzo alleged antitrust violations and unfair competition by Qualcomm.
U.S. District Court Judge William Q. Hayes rejected arguments raised in the amended complaint and affirmed his prior ruling that Lorenzo lacked standing to bring antitrust claims.
