The Georgia Department of Natural Resources has released new details about the tragic accident which has left the son of Usher’s estranged wife brain dead.
Kyle Glover, 11, who is Tameka Foster’s son, was floating in an inner tube attached to a pontoon boat along with a friend Friday on Lake Lanier when he was struck in the head by a Jet Ski. The DNR has released the name of the man who hit Glover and revealed that he is a family friend.
The DNR also said they did not believe alcohol played a role in the accident.
The Jet Ski driver has been identified as Jeffery S. Hubbard. He was driving the vessel when he ran over Glover and a 15 year-old girl. Both of them were air lifted to Egleston Children’s Hospital. Glover was in critical condition but has not shown any brain activity since he was admitted.
The injured girl had minor abrasions to her head and a broken arm.
Usher flew to the hospital to offer his support for Foster despite their contentious split in 2009.
Foster made a comment to Radaronline, simply saying, “He is bad,” referring to Hubbard.
