Duke Energy Corporation

Duke Energy will halts issuing fixed-payment program effective next month. The company will notified the costumers of the program suspension before it will officially be implemented. Carol Burdette, president of the United Way of Anderson, said the suspension of the fixed-rate program may affect one segment of the community more than others.

“I think the fixed rate is a good thing for anybody, especially for the elderly on a fixed income,” she said. “It could be good in order for them to budget from month to month. I understand Duke needs to do this under transition and hopefully they will reinstate the program.”
