Women’s nutrition – Back to Basics Guide to Health and Nutrition

Prograde Nutrition reveals a back to basics guide on women’s nutrition

Jayson Hunter of Prograde Nutrition reveals a back to basics guide for women’s nutrition. He believes that women’s nutrition is completely different from that of men. Women’s nutrition depends on what stage of life she is in; it can vary based on hormonal changes that occur with menstruation, pregnancy, lactation, and menopause, all of which alter the body’s requirements for nutrients in everyday life.

Hunter explains, “Women are just as prone to diseases as men. However, in case of women, one can attribute certain diseases like anemia and osteoporosis due to the lack of a good women’s nutrition plan.” He adds, “We are not talking about strict diets and deprivation of certain foods, simple yet effective tips on women’s nutrition can help improve the health of a woman in general”.

Having a good women’s nutrition plan is extremely important during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as there is an increased need for vitamins and minerals in that stage. A particularly important nutrient during pregnancy is folic acid, one of the B vitamins.

Include some soy in your nutrition plan. It is a rich source of isoflavones, an estrogen-like substance found in plants, which is known to have multiple health benefits.

A good women’s nutrition plan, which includes ample amount of calcium and exercises such as walking, hiking, or climbing stairs, helps to build strong bones.

Women’s nutrition is also important in maintaining optimum weight which in turn helps prevent obesity related diseases such as heart disease and diabetes later on in life.

About Prograde Nutrition: Launched in April of 2007, Florida based Prograde Nutrition was created by two fitness professionals concerned with the lack of an ethical dietary supplement company for personal trainers to refer clients to. Prograde does not make its products available in any stores. Instead, customers can only find them online, or through fitness experts they term "Prograde Pros."

The success of the company is largely in part to the faith of the personal training community in the company's founders, Jim Labadie, Ryan Lee, Jayson Hunter and Sammy See.
