Dream Works Animation Leads Annie Awards Nominations.

The International Animated Film Society announced its nominees for their 34th annual Annie Awards for achievement in animation.

The February 11th presentation will award the best in film, television and home video animation.

Dream Works picked up 17 nominations for their two featured films “Flushed Away” and “Over the Hedge”. “Flushed Away” picked up nine nominations to tie the Disney-Pixar hit “Cars” for most nominations.

Both “Flushed Away” and “Cars” will be joined by “Happy Feet”, “Monster House”, and “Open Season” in the best animated feature category.

Best animated television production nominees include “King of the Hill”, “Charlie and Lola”, “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!”, “The Fairly OddParents”, and “Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends.”
 
The categories for production awards are Best Animated Feature, Best Animated Home Entertainment Production, Best Animated Short Subject, Best Animate Television Commercial, Best Animated Television Production, and Best Animated Video Game.

In the Best Animated Home Entertainment Production “Bambi II” AND “Winnie the Pooh: Shapes & Sizes” represent DisneyToon Studios while Universal Animation Studios’ “The Adventures of Brer Rabbit” earned nominations.

Best Animated Short Subject nominees include “Adventure Time”, Fumi and the Bad Luck Foot”, “No Time for Nuts”, and “Don’t Download This Song.”

The Annie Awards also recognize individual achievement in the field of animation. Among the categories included in this field are:
