Rip Torn was arrested earlier today in New York for driving while intoxicated. The 75-year-old actor, who began his TV and film career in 1956, allegedly refused to cooperate with police.
This isn’t Torn’s first DWI, he was arrested in 2004 after crashing into a New York City taxi.
Torn has appeared in several movies over the years including Men in Black, Men in Black II, Dodgeball and Wonder Boys.
He has received 8 Emmy Award nominations over his career and won the 1997 Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work on “The Larry Sanders Show”. He was nominated for an Oscar Award in 1984 as best supporting actor in Cross Creek.
