Philadelphia, Pennsylvania Dental Implants Pro Lectures on No Bone Loss System
In a recent lecture held in Honolulu, Hawaii, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania periodontist Dr. David DiGiallorenzo presented a lecture on the world’s leading dental implant technology to Hawaii’s top dentists. The lecture, titled, “Ankylos: the Esthetic and Functional Advantage,” promoted the benefits of the Ankylos Implant System, a popular dental implant system.
This system provides biomechanical stability between the abutment and implant according to Dr. DiGiallorenzo. Meaning, there is no degenerative effects to the bone or gum cells in the jaw.
“We are redefining our parameters for acceptable biological responses, and understand that zero bone loss is a reality as documented by the success of the Ankylos Implant System,” said the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania dental implants specialist.
The convention, held on July 23, hosted over 30 doctors from local practices eager to learn more about the Ankylos system. Dr. Digiallorenzo is a key opinion leader and was a pilot clinician 6 years ago when the FDA approved the Ankylos implant system on the North American Market.
“We just completed a four day invitation-only world symposium in Florida, hosted by Dentsply International with the world leaders in the field,” said Dr. DiGiallorenzo. “The consensus was that the maintenance of bone is crucial in ensuring the successful esthetic outcome after years of use. The Ankylos implants provide not only bone and soft tissue stability but biomechanical stability [as well], which is key to preventing the fracture of implant components after millions of chewing cycles.”
Dr. DiGiallorenzo has placed over 5,000 implants in his career and teaches nationally and internationally on dental implants and related topics. His next presentation will be at the American Academy of Periodontology in Boston, Massachusetts in September.
