Halle Berry was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital this week for treatment of a minor head injury. A rep for the actress says Berry, 45, sustained the injury Tuesday night while shooting scenes for the upcoming thriller The Hive. Berry was taken to Cedars Sinai Medical Center by ambulance and released after a brief evaluation.
"Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, The Hive. She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned,” the rep says.
On set sources say Berry, who is engaged to actor Oliver Martinez, fell and hit her head on concrete. Her accident comes six days after actress Kristin Chenoweth sustained injuries in an accident on the New York set of The Good Wife. Chenoweth, 43, was knocked to the ground by a piece of falling equipment and hit her head on the concrete. She was taken to Bellevue Hospital by ambulance and treated for minor injuries.
"All of us at the studio and the show are thinking about Kristin and wishing her a quick recovery,” CBS said.
