‘Baseball Wives’ star Anna Benson said today that her husband Kris Benson former Mets pitcher filed for divorce in March after she discovered he was having an affair.
Anna who once threatened to sleep with the entire Mets team if her husband cheated on her discovered the affair on Facebook, a leading evidence gathering tool utilized by divorce attorneys. Anna said Kris began the affair with one of her best friends earlier this year while she was recovering from foot surgery.
Kris said her and her three children were forced to sell the couple’s 8000 sq. foot home in Cumming, Georgia. She and her children will have to vacate the property by August 6th.
“Kris said he would help me get into another home,” Anna told Fox 411, “But he tricked me. I would have never sold my house without him telling me he was going to get me into another house.”
Anna had to list her children as homeless when she registered them for fall classes. She asked Kris to purchase them a home in the $300,000 to $400,000 price range, half of what her original house was worth, but he refused and instead offered to let her live in a house he was planning on flipping or suggested she could move in with her mother.
When the couple married they had a prenuptial agreement which granted Anna $4,000 a month in support. If Anna was up to the challenge, it would be possible for her to retain a divorce lawyer and ask for additional money, but this would be a lengthy court battle.
Before any person agrees to sign a prenuptial agreement, they should first have a divorce attorney look into the agreement and make sure that any settlement they obtain is fair and enough to support their children in case the marriage fails.
