After spending months dispelling rumors of a split, representatives for Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn have confirmed the Hollywood pair have separated, but of course remain good Friends.
The two met when filming The Break-Up and began dating in the summer of 2005. During their year and a half together the couple went through the cycle of media rumors; proposals, wedding plans, splits, reunions, basically anything that happens in a relationship, they reportedly experience.
This is the first time they have had their reps confirm the break-up, in a prepared statement each rep. stated “Jennifer and Vince mutually agreed to end their relationship but continue to be good friends today.”
There was no reason given for their split but apparently it was decided back in October after Aniston visited Vaughn in London where he is currently filming Fred Clause.
If life does imitate art the couple really never stood a chance. Vaughn’s played a series of roles that never really indicated an ability to settle down, i.e. Old School, Swingers, Wedding Crashers (yeah he got married but seriously).
Vaughn actually starred in Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. Pitt was married to Aniston at the time but after a highly publicized divorce Pitt coupled with Jolie. Vaughn then began dating Aniston. Only in Hollywood.
