Frank Willard Fired From PBS’ Market Warriors After Lewd Conduct Arrest

Fred Willard hasn’t been convicted lewd conduct yet, but he is already dealing with consequences related to his arrest. PBS announced Thursday Willard has been fired from his voice over job with Market Warriors, a spinoff of the network’s popular show Antiques Roadshow.

Meanwhile, the 72-year-old claims he is innocent of the charge against him. "With all due respect to the individual officer, our belief is that Fred did nothing in any violation of any law. We will be working vigorously to clear his name in this matter,” Willard’s attorney Paul Takakjian told TMZ.

Willard was arrested Wednesday night at the Tiki Theater in Hollywood after an officer allegedly witnessed him engaging in a lewd act. He was booked on a misdemeanor charge at a nearby police station and released.

Willard’s film credits include Best In Show, A Mighty Wind, Wall-E and This Is Spinal Tap. He has also appeared on popular shows like Everybody Loves Raymond, The Closer and Modern Family. Willard currently stars alongside Morgan Freeman in The Magic of Belle Isle.
