Salt Lake City, UT, August 1, 2009 – Stevens-Henager College adds two more centers to its line-up on July 1, 2009 at St. George and Lehi, Utah. These are in addition to its recently opened Education Centers in Idaho Falls, Idaho and Layton, Utah.
Long distance learning can at times be a solitary experience and students often miss the interaction with teachers and other students that a traditional class room setting brings with it. These education centers offer a place where online students can mingle as well as receive tutoring sessions from qualified staff and advanced students. The centers also organize a number of educational activities such as lectures on a range of different topics by guest speakers that these students can attend and benefit from.
The Education Centers offer hands-on “cash” courses in subjects such as Phlebotomy, CNA, Coding and Billing and Excel. These courses could be held over a few evenings, several weekends, or even a full 40-hour session and students can sign up for any of these courses at the centers. The Education Centers also offer career guidance services for online students after they graduate. Using their local contacts in the area, the Career Services Department assists graduates in short-listing and applying for good, high-paying jobs.
As a college well-known for its online degree programs, Stevens-Henager College Education Centers are open to all students enrolled with Stevens-Henager Online and the college welcomes all interested to visit the centers for one-on-one attention or to simply interact with some of the other Stevens-Henager Online students and staff in their location.
