Emily Maynard is a Bachelorette no more! On the season finale of the ABC dating show, the 26-year-old mom accepted a proposal from entrepreneur Jef Holm. The happily engaged pair appeared together for the first time in public on the live After the Final Rose episode and revealed their plans for the future.
First, Jef said he will take Emily on a humanitarian trip to Africa. "I'm going to take Emily to Africa with my company People Water and build wells," he said.
As for where they will live, Jef revealed he plans to get his own place in Emily’s hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina so she doesn’t have to move her 6-year-old daughter Ricki. “We think that the best thing is that I move to Charlotte and the biggest reason for that is Ricki. I don't feel like we should uproot her friends and her family, " Holm explained. “I want to move there and I'm fortunate enough that I can work from anywhere. I'm going to move there and get a place separate from her and we're going to combine our lives together and plan a wedding and once we're married, figure out where we're going to be together as a family.”
While they have no definite wedding plans yet, Emily said she has already been looking at venues and is thinking about a spring wedding.
