SAgolfhub.co.za is pleased to announce the launch of their new site which has been re-designed with a new layout for ease of use and a number of new tabs that will satisfy the needs of the South African golfing public. New tabs include Golf by South African regions, South Africa’s top golf estates and South Africa’s Top 10 courses.
South Africa is a golfers dream with beautiful courses, year round sunshine and easy accessibility to the top courses country wide. SAgolfhub has tried to reflect this in the new layout providing valuable insights into playing the game on the tip of Africa.
Under the new Golf by Region, the golf playing public will be able to find a course where ever they may be throughout the nine provinces, with the most courses centred around Gauteng, Kwa Zulu Natal and the Western Cape.
To fast track the overall golf experience in South Africa head straight for the Top 10 Courses in South Africa and experience first-hand the cream of South Africa’s premier courses. Currently headed by The Links at Fancourt which is situated in George, even had the legendary South African golfer Gary Player saying, “I feel a genuine affinity for Fancourt having been involved from day one as a designer of the original golf courses, I experienced one of the greatest thrills of my golf career here when captaining the International Presidents Cup team against Jack Nicklaus’ American team, and it is the home of perhaps my greatest achievement as a golf course designer, The Links.”
The top South African golf estates is a great tab to find that ideal house with a golf fairway as its front lawn. Again divided by region it is a great resource for either locating a great golf estate to buy a house on or for a golf retreat with friends and family.
Another important tab is the glossary page. There is nothing worse than not knowing what a person is talking about. Now you can check exactly what that obscure term is, simply by doing a quick scan through the page. A great example of this is the term ‘Bisque’ which does in fact refer to a form of handicapping used in private matchplay games. The higher handicapped player is allowed to choose on which holes they receive their handicap allowance of “free shots”. As this is a matter of negotiation between the players involved there are many variations in the number of shots allowed and when (before the start of the round, before playing a hole, during the play of a hole, after playing a hole) the claiming of “free shot” is allowed. Bisque matches are not recognised by the rules of golf.
